We are committed to teaching CPR and first aid and we are able to offer classes to large and small groups at a location convenient to you.
We are instructors with a special understanding of the specific needs of rural and farm first aid. We are happy to work with you to customize first aid instruction to meet your specific requirements.
Our classes conform to current Canadian Standards and are compliant with Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety regulations. You will leave any of our classes with the skills necessary to effectively administer first aid.
We are able to deliver classes, small enough to allow safe physical distancing, here on the farm or at your safe location. On-line and blended delivery options are also available.
St. John Ambulance has teamed up with TEMA to develop the Mental Health and Wellness for the Workplace (MHWW) program. MHWW is designed to give people the skills they need to support each other in both virtual or in-person workplaces. Like the people it is for, this 6-hour program can be delivered on-line or in-person.
Formerly 'Emergency First Aid' this St. John Ambulance first aid course focuses on CPR Level C (adult/infant/child/, AED (defibrilllator) and emergency situations.
Generally delivered over a single 8 hour day.
Formerly 'Standard First Aid' this class includes CPR Level C, AED, with more thorough coverage of First Aid situations. The 16 hour course is aimed at individuals working more than 30 minutes from a medical facility and is the minimum requirement for firefighters in Manitoba.
Formerly CPR - HCP, this 6-hour course is designed for those working within a health care setting. The focus is on the use of a bag-valve mask, adult resuscitation, child/infant resuscitation and unresponsive casualty management.
This St. John Ambulance course covers CPR techniques for use on adults only, as well as AED.

This half day course is available to anyone who has taken CPR Level C through St. John Ambulance within the previous 12 months (ie. through Basic or Intermediate First Aid classes).
This course prepares our youth to care for infants, toddlers and older children; what questions to ask parents, how to give first aid and what to do in emergencies.
